Power of Words

 Watch this you tube clip of what happens when a women changes a blind beggar's life...

Power of Words  <--[CLICK HERE TO VIEW CLIP on YOUTUBE]

It is quite astonishing the amount of effect words have. They can make you feel on top of the world yet they can break you down and make you feel as if your heart is broken.

It happens far too often where people speak before thinking and within this process they hurt others.
Bullies for example, especially verbal bullying, break their victims down with words. They find ways to belittle you or manipulate you. It is more likely than not that once upon time you were the victim or the bully.
Too many times have people made you cry from just saying something nasty, not saying anything at all and sometimes just being brief with words such as 'ok', 'fine', 'whatever'.

If you were the victim then you should be at a place where you would never allow yourself to be like this to others.
If you were a victim, then know that as powerful as these words may be, they are merely letters then come together to form a pattern than means something.

I think it is important to reflect on the power of words and aim to use them as a tool to promote positivity. Use them to give someone a compliment, to say something nice about someone or to even do good for someone. With power comes great responsibility so use your words wisely.

Hopefully this post will make you think twice about what you say and by doing so it will allow space for you to pause and think of something good to say rather than hurting  or not helping someone.

Peace! xoxo

What is Success?

"What is success?
To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of
false friends;
To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden
patch or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
People often associate success with money and making it in one's career however real success has many more factors.
It is not about money at the end of the day but rather the fact that you are happy. It requires one too to be tolerable of those
that may be smarter and rather admire them instead of being jealous. It is about being able to be criticized and taking it as a
way to grow yourself in order to reach your full potential. Friends often betray us because it is often those closest to us that
leave us, hurt us or use us but by enduring such circumstances will enhance growth to reach maximum potential.
Finding the best in others is like finding positivity and this ability is so important to acquire because
once one is able to perceive positivity in every aspect of life, positivity will naturally flood one's life with good things.
It is about changing one's way of thinking and focusing on the good rather than the bad.
Trying to leave this world in a better place will only catalyze others to do so too.
The most touching part of this quote is knowing that you have made one person's life easier is the sole reason to success.

Belittling someone to the point where they don't want to exist is not success.
Ignoring someone who needs your help because it is inconvenient for you is not success.
Holding back because you are too afraid to help someone is not success.
Saying hurtful words to someone just because you hurt too is not success.

I hope that reading this will give you a different perspective of what success may mean.
May this post encourage you to be a nicer person, to look at the world more positively and not be afraid to
help people because one small act could possibly mean the world to that person.
This of course is not an easy process and may take time to grow but once you start, you will see the world
will give back to you.

Much Love xoxo
